What data we collect

When you use SkillTreq, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Email address and basic profile data from your OAuth provider (GitHub or Google)
• Workout data: Exercise logs, sets, reps, holds, and personal records you enter
• Progress data: Skill statuses, training plan progress, and achievement timestamps
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics about feature usage to improve the product

How we store your data

• All data is stored in Neon PostgreSQL databases
• The application is hosted on Vercel infrastructure
• We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest

Third-party services

SkillTreq uses the following third-party services:

• GitHub OAuth — for account authentication
• Google OAuth — for account authentication
• Brevo — for transactional emails (account verification, password resets)
• Sentry — for error tracking and performance monitoring

We do not sell your data to third parties. Third-party services only receive the minimum data necessary to provide their functionality.

Cookies and local storage

• Session cookie — used for authentication (httpOnly, secure)
• localStorage — used for UI preferences (theme, language)
• No tracking cookies — we do not use advertising or analytics cookies

Data retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
• If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days
• Anonymous, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — view all your information within the app
• Export your data — use the JSON export feature in app settings
• Delete your data — delete your account in app settings, which removes all associated data
• Correct your data — update your profile and workout data at any time
